It is a non-destructive, completely restartable tool that allows you to integrate your shop's rules and logic into CDB's Online Reorg, Online Copy, and Reorg XL. Automatically reorganizes DB2 tablespaces and their associated indexes faster than any other DB2 Reorg. CDB/Auto-Reorg reorganizes in read-only mode based on your criteria using a true non-sort method. Provides the same functions as CDB/Auto-Reorg, but allows users online availability while DB2 is actively updating the system. DB2 logs are not accessed. The only high-speed utility of its kind that automatically reorganizes extremely large NPIs (Non-Partitioned Indexes), without using sort. Provides multiple copies of your data with a single pass of the DB2 tablespace. Based on your criteria, CDB/Auto-Copy automatically determines if full or incremental copies are needed, when or if they should be run, and where they should be copied. Provides the same functions as CDB/Auto-Copy, but has an additional online enhancement. Users are able to read and update data while producing a concurrent Copy from a single point in time. Restores data from sequential files to a DB2 tablespace and then recovers all of the associated indexes. It provides an extremely fast method for making data available. First, CDB/RePart automatically redistributes data evenly across a partitioned tablespace based on user guidelines. The partitions are balanced without dropping and recreating tablespaces. CDB/RePart also facilitates using periodic data with the PartRoll function. The data is shifted and the partitions are redefined. Data from the first partition is deleted or archived and then each partition is transferred into the previous partitioned space, which eliminates the need to unload, drop, create and reload your data. Allows characteristics of DB2 columns to be changed, including type, length, nullability, and column value without having to load, drop, and reload the data. Additionally, CDB/ AutoConvert Reorgs the tablespace and all indexes, generates a Copy of the Reorged tablespace and updates runstats.
